– Welcome Spyros to psyland.live web radio! Thank you for accepting our invitation for this interview. Please, tell us a few words about yourself.

– Hello Psylanders, first of all I want to thank you for inviting me to this interview. My name is Spyros, I’m
27 years old and I live in Athens, Greece.

– When did you start being interested in Psychedelic music?

– I remember being an occasional listener while I was still a teenager but since 2012 when I attended a
psychedelic trance party for the first time, everything changed for me. I immediately fell in love with the
music, the culture, and the adventurous parties. A year later I began to experiment with making music
and in 2014 I decided to take the Electronic Music Production course at SAE Institute of Athens to set a
solid base in the technical aspect of the production. When I completed the course my project was born
and since then I’m constantly working on music and the evolvement of my sound.

– How would you describe your music style?

– I would describe it as a varicolored mixture of sounds. I love to have contrast in my sound palette and
I’m trying to have detail in the storytelling. The vibe varies depending on the track as I want the listener to
cycle through different emotions during my live set.

– This was a summer full of events. Have you visited or participated in any of them?

– In July I had the pleasure to play in Blanco’s B-day, a great gathering that took place at Northern Evoia.
In August I visited mountain Olympus for Eudaimonia festival where I met some nice people and in early
September I played at the debut party of Nychtovio Crew in Cyprus. So not that many but enjoyed a lot
each one of them.

– Do you have any new releases on mind?

– So far there are two confirmed solo tracks. One is called Elegy and it’s coming out soon in the next
compilation of Urban Antidote Records. The other one is called Overthinking Sequence and it will come
out in Another Dimension Music. There is also one collaboration track with Fear Disorder called Self
Realization in the next compilation of Dream Crew Records which is going to be a double CD. Lastly, I’m
close to finishing my second EP on Hypnotique Recordings which will include 3 collaboration tracks with
label artists.

– What is your opinion about the latest restrictions on nightlife due to coronavirus in Greece? Do you
think it has an impact on the psychedelic trance scene?

– Unfortunately, the situation here is a bit messy and unfair to the people that are unvaccinated as they
are not allowed to enter any clubs leading to a smaller number of attendants at parties. This might lead
to more private outdoor gatherings in the future.
