Petran Live on Psyland
Written by Psyland on May 17, 2022
Hello Psy people,
We are glad to host Petran Live on Psyland this week. Let’s meet this sound wizard from Greece!
Since 2010, Petran has produced, mixed, and mastered numerous tracks and compilations released by top labels of the psychedelic scene, such as Parvati Records, Sonic Loom Music, Vantara Vichitra Records, and many others. This definitely makes him one of the best engineers and producers of the pse-scene!
In the beginning, Petran started his music journey by exploring numerous music genres while participating as a guitarist/composer in various rock projects.
Steadily his passion for sound grew warmer and lead him to study in-depth the science of sound for over a decade. At the same time, he discovered psychedelic trance music and immersed himself in an ongoing voyage that would lead him on a global excursion as a musician as well as an evolving entity.
His journey into the psy scene begins with his first track “Etheria” released by Catawampus Records in 2010, followed by releases at Parvati Records and Sonic Loom in 2012. This is also the year when Petran established his skills as a sound engineer, after mastering the first two VA compilations released by Sonic Loom. “Penduloom Waves” and “Loomination“.
Petran’s music can be described as an attempt to sonically explore the perpetual nature of our universe by mechanically manipulating air pressure, redirecting electronic currents and stimulating altered states of mind.
Until today, he has released about 20 tracks and mastered more than 70 compilations on many top labels.
